DID YOU KNOW? When you Burn Fat, You Actually Exhale Most of It! [Science Video]

You learn something new every day, and today, I learned that when you burn fat, you actually lose most of it (80%) by breathing it out in the form of carbon dioxide. The rest goes out of your body in liquid form, through your pee, sweat, and other bodily fluids.

So for every 10 kilograms of fat you burn, you have to inhale 29 KG of oxygen to break down the fat and release its energy, which produces 28 KG of carbon dioxide and 11 KG of water. Fascinating, isn’t it?

This Talking Budgie is a Time Lord in Hiding [Narrated by the 10th Doctor]

Watch as David Tenant narrates the first episode of “Pets – Wild at Heart” where we see the extraordinary mimicking skill of a very special budgie named “Disco.” Disco has memorized over 130 phrases, and he seems to think he’s the avian version of a Time Lord. He’s also a little short to be a Stormtrooper. (Just watch the video!)

And here’s the trailer of the show, which will start on January 21st on BBC one.

Guardians of the Galaxy Gets 8-Bit Cinema Treatment

The genius folks over at 8-Bit Cinema have decided to cave and finally give the people what they really want right now, Guardians of the Galaxy if it were an 8-bit game from the bygone Nintendo era. Everything from the chip-tune music to the perfect pixel representations of every character, all you will think after seeing this is: why isn’t this a real thing? Heck, there’s even a side scrolling space shooter stage. Doesn’t get much more retro awesome than that.

Also, yes, dancing Groot makes an awesome appearance, of course.
