Not everything goes to plan when you’re shooting a movie, but sometimes it makes for an unexpected bonus. Here are ten times a director spotted the error in time but actively decided to keep it in to improve the movie (meaning one famous head bump makes the cut, while another is left out.)
If you’ve ever wondered about Harry Potter’s family history, wonder no more. JK Rowling has now written a piece on her Pottermore site detailing the Potter story, including their roles in both the wizard and Muggle worlds, the origins of the invisibility cloak and the links to the Peverell family.
No matter the genre, it seems that — with a little careful editing — everyone wants to get down to Bruno Mars in this gloriously silly mash-up.
Some brilliant Imgur user posted this and we could not agree more. Nintendo, how about some more “makers” or “remixers” for old games? We would eat it up!

As part of its “Make It Digital” season, the BBC has put six archive shows about computing on its iPlayer service. The collection includes the debut episode of The Computer Programme for 1982, an episode of Making The Most Of The Micro from 1983 which introduced BASIC programming for family users, two editions of magazine show Micro Live from 1986 to 1987, plus a 1977 documentary on the microprocessor and a compilation of 196os clips from tech show Tomorrow’s World. Expect some dodgy haircuts, eyewatering prices (with inflation) and plenty of low-fi creativity.
The shows are only available on device which report their location as being in the UK. If that doesn’t apply to your device, you can find some of the shows on YouTube, albeit in lower quality.
This ad is not a joke. Found on Imgur earlier today, I did some digging, and sure enough, this thing was very close to actually existing. Although we may laugh at the prospect now, imagine all the nerdy and or tasteless sweaters we could have made for ourselves and friends.
I almost wish this DID exist. Now you’re knitting with power.
