The Star Accessory by Satarii: Make your Camera Follow your Every Move

As the camera quality improves on cellphones and handheld devices, the need for better hands-free accessories becomes more apparent. The two guys who make up Satarii have a great idea–the Star Accessory, which was successfully funded through donations in an Indie GoGo campaign.

The video pretty much shows you everything you need to know: you pop your phone in, clip the marker on, and do whatever you want while the camera tracks your movement. The concept is a useful one, and as long as the manufacturing costs stay reasonable, the Star Accessory could end up being a household name.

The Evolution of DARPA’s Nano Air Vehicle

DARPA has recently released a video demonstrating the evolution of its hummingbird-like Nano Air Vehicle (NAV) from 2006 until now.

In 2005, DARPA announced the Nano Air Vehicle (NAV) program and its goal to develop agile and flyers system that could fit in one hand. This video chronicles the development of a “hummingbird” flyer by Aerovironment from concept to prototype demonstration and introduction to the public.

Next step, a similar vehicle as big as a common house fly, used to film your every move. Scary thought, isn’t it?

LOL: When Life Gives you Lemons [Pic]

Cave Johnson, CEO of Aperture Science, has a lot of unhinged wisdom in that sideburned head of his. Hang this poster up to remind you not to let anyone, even life itself, kick you around. Red print on grungy, cracked-concrete looking background (reminiscent of Aperture’s crumbling 1950s walls).

11×17″ poster, digitally printed on heavy, high-quality glossy cardstock. Looks gorgeous in a frame (not included) or hung on its own for maximum simplicity. Interested in another size? Convo us and we’ll see what we can do for ya.

Companion Cube Marriage Proposal [Pictures]

First, there was that awesome Star Trek-themed marriage proposal, and now this. When it comes to an original way to ask their significant other for something as important as marriage, no one can beat a geek, no one.

Windows 8 Preview [Video]

Microsoft has just posted the first video of what apparently will be many showing some of the features of their upcoming Windows 8 OS. Check it out:

I don’t know about you guys, but this pretty much looks like something that would run exclusively on a touch-enabled tablet PC (or a desktop with a touchscreen.) Sure, the presenter does say that the interface will work fine via a mouse and keyboard, but as far as I’m concerned, it certaintly doesn’t look that way. I guess we’ll have to wait for them to release additional videos to find out.

So what do you guys think about the new interface? Let us know in the comments section below!
