Honda Unveils All-New ASIMO Robot [Video]

Just a little earlier today, Honda unveiled the all-new ASIMO, a brand new version of their popular humanoid robot. It can run at 9kph, hop on one or both legs, and lots more. Check it out in action in the video below.

TOKYO, Japan, November 8, 2011 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today unveiled an all-new ASIMO humanoid robot newly equipped with the world’s first* autonomous behavior control technology. With a further advance in autonomy, the all-new ASIMO can now continue moving without being controlled by an operator. Moreover, with significantly improved intelligence and the physical ability to adapt to situations, ASIMO took another step closer to practical use in an office or a public space where many people come and go.

  1. Haven't these people seen the movie I Robot with Wil Smith?
    People aren't impressed with robots that can pour a slushy like an old man.
    We want robots that can move really fast while doing multiple tasks at the same time.
    Like say pour a mixed drink, make a sandwich, change a diaper, while throwing pototato chips in our mouth while we flipping channels watching TV.
