Stunning Photos from the 2024 Eclipse Illuminate the Sky [Gallery]

Just a quick post to showcase a few photos of yesterday’s eclipse by my friend @actarus911 and Claude Campagna Lupien Photographe. The first batch was taken in St-Georges, Quebec, right in the path of the eclipse’s totality. Note the reddish tint around the Sun in the closeup shots. These are plasma eruptions in the Sun’s chromosphere. The second batch of pics were taken near Mount Yamaska, Québec, about 30 minutes east of Montreal.

And here are the ones from Claude Campagna Lupien Photographe (Posted with permission.)

This is my composition of the eclipse of April 8, 2024. Each phase of the eclipse is in its precise position for the duration of the phenomenon.

Be sure to click on this one! It needs to be viewed in full size!
