Reading Rainbow Remixed [Video]

Any person born in the 80s or after knows Reading Rainbow and the show’s host, LeVar Burton. And any geek worth his or her halite crystals is aware of John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, the master auto-tuner behind Symphony of Science, the series of the greatest science-related music videos of all time. Now the two have met, but you don’t have to take my word for it. Here’s the video:

I don’t know about you guys, but I could watch that show all day. Right in the feels, geeks. Fingers crossed for a Mister Rogers or Mr. Wizard version, but in the meantime, I’m going to be an expert in my imagination.

Editor’s note: Bob Ross’s song is here and Mr. Rogers’ song is here.

  1. "Fingers crossed for a Mister Rogers or Mr. Wizard version"

They already have the Mister Rogers version!

I love the Bob Ross Remix and the Reading Rainbow one is really awesome too :D

  2. I really like this website but I absolutely hate the video ads that come up. Always when I'm trying to watch a video. In the middle I'll suddenly start listening to some woman with the new swiffer duster or some new Bon Jovi concert. I then have to pause the video and search all over the site til I find the ad responsible. Then half the time they don't even have a mute button. I don't mind banner ads, but I hate video ads that have audio.

I'm this close to downloading an ad blocker, or just dropping this site for others that give similar content. I don't want to, but it drives me nuts that I can't even read the content in peace.

That aside, i finally did make it through the video and thought it was pretty cool. A blast from my childhood.

  3. I love Reading Rainbow, Bob Ross, et al, but I feel like the only one who despises this autotune stuff. Anyone else out there with me? The robotification of the voices makes me cringe…
