  1. did they not already dismiss the findings due to the rotation of Earth while the Nutrino travled ?

      • You're both right. The Opera experiment did turn out to have problems with the measurements. Although they had taken into account the rotation of the earth they failed to factor in the angle of the satellites and the precession this caused.

        However, this explanation did not completely account for the variations measured and so the experiments are being repeated by different researchers in 2012 (the Borexino and Icarus experiments at Gran Sasso) so there may yet be something to it.
