  1. Yay, way to stereotype! It’s one thing to alter the classic movies, but GL is replacing them. There’s no CHOICE. That some people find this acceptable is disturbing.

  2. Wow. Could this be any more insulting or wrong headed? Next time just stick to "Star Wars fans are moaning, hypocritical dicks, hurr hurr."

  3. I still only own the VHS original trilogy, I do have the pre trilogy on DVD to, but that's just because I got to have the complete Sega.

  4. It's GL's baby, he can do what he wants with the franchise. You don't have to agree with it, and it's unfortunate that the original versions will never be enjoyed in richer video formats, but there's nothing that you can do about it. Perhaps GL will realize there is more money to be had by re-releasing the original cut sometime in the future.

In the mean time, another amusing Starwars video. The intro text to Starwars Episode VII http://tinyurl.com/3hcjpdz

  5. I bought the 2 Disc Special edition DVD box set a while back. On the second discs are the original, unedited versions of the movies, and the only ones that have ever been used.

If George Lucas released the unedited versions on Blu-ray, they'd probably sell them all in a heartbeat.
