1. "Genius" is something the maker of this picture is NOT! The term is "Genus."

   • Someone needs to take a chill pill and get jokes…

   • You didn't notice "classy" or "specials?" Or read any of it at all?

   • Hey, it's not "Classy" either, that's the joke. Notice how the entire picture is wrong, or did you think this was how they actually classify animals?

   • The author also took liberties with "Species" and "Class", so yes, it's a joke.

   • "Classy", "Orders", and "Specials" didn't make you cringe?

2. I know I went to public school and all, but… Doesn’t ‘Family’ belong in there somewhere?

3. "Genus" is Latin for family, so it is in there really.

4. Actually Family and Genus are separate terms as far as taxonomy goes- Kingdom Phylum Class Order Family Genus Species, is how I seemto recall it.

5. In zoology Genus and Family are two different ranks. The author is missing (of the main ranks) Domain and Family.

   Botany, naturally, is more complicated, with many more intermediate ranks.

   • Since Domain isn't a widely accepted classification in Botany, I don't think it's fair to call this a mistake. Family, however, should have been included.

6. Well Then Insert this:

   Domain: Does the creature have it's own website or does it just post all of its blogs to Facebook?

   Family: Does the creature visit relatives for Thanksgiving? If it does, does it leave coats on the bed?
