New Full-Length Captain America Trailer [Video]

Holy crap that was awesome! I haven’t seen the Green Lantern movie yet, but I’ve heard that it really sucked, so let’s all hope this one actually does things right for a change.

Rebecca Black’s “Friday” in 8-Bit [Video]

For now this is just a chiptune remake of the song set over a few images of what could potentially be the most inane game of all time. I’d rank the playability of this somewhere alongside that E.T. for Atari disaster.

That said, the song gets a massive improvement when reimagined in 8-bit (the work of Danny Baranowsky and Adam Atomic). I hate it less, anyway. What I love is the tongue-in-cheek video description:

Before Rebecca Black was even born, somehow a video game was made using her earth-shattering hit, “Friday”. This is the soundtrack to that genre-defining, revolutionary game.

Massive LEGO Barad-Dûr (LOTR’s Dark Tower)

Kevin Walter made this absolutely amazing LEGO Barad-Dûr for Brickworld 2011. I’d be curious to know how many pieces he used to make the tower, but the only details I got from his Flickr account is that the construction measures 175cm tall. In case you want to see more pictures, we’ve added a bunch of other ones in the picture gallery below.

Then at last his gaze was held: wall upon wall, battlement upon battlement, black, immeasurably strong, mountain of iron, gate of steel, tower of adamant, he saw it: Barad-dûr, Fortress of Sauron. All hope left him. Source: The Fellowship of the Ring, page 521.

Reservoir Birds

This drawing by graphic designer Lee Crutchley gives a whole new meaning to Mr. White and Mr. Blue, doesn’t it? “Stuck in the Middle With You” would be the perfect theme music for this fictional game. Someone get Tarantino on the phone with an app developer, stat.

Another good one by Crutchley: Angry Burns
