Drawsome Batman [Pics]

I used to think some of my drawings on Draw Something were actually pretty damned cool. Then I came across this site. I now realize I have a long way to go. The Drawsome Drawings blog is full pretty awesome Draw Something drawings…of course, I only have my wee little iPhone so I’m going to use that as an excuse for not being able to be this brilliant!

This latest post was all Batman themed drawings which I find particularly awesome.

Tumblr blogger “Productive Slacker” made these awesome R2-D2 Shorts, and all I have to say after looking at those pics is: Will you marry me, Productive Slacker? Oh, wait a minute, something’s wrong… I’m already married!

Nintendo Bathroom [Picture]

And the award for coolest place to drop a deuce goes to…this guy’s bathroom!  It narrowly beat out my neighbor’s porch, it was a close vote.  The committee consisted of me, and that’s about it.  But still.  The neighbor’s porch is really great.  They have all these exotic plants.  Really gives you a “jungle-y” feel.  Anyway.  This one is cooler because Nintendo makes everything better.

T-rex Dog Rides Again

Roosevelt, a dog who was born with a deformity that makes his legs look like adorable little T-rex arms, can now run and play with other dogs.  So many tears of joy.  This kind of stuff is awesome.  Look at him go!

Patterned by Nature: Huge Tiled LCD Display Runs on Less Than 75 Watts [Video]

10 feet wide and 90 feet in length, this sculptural ribbon winds through the five story atrium of the museum and is made of 3600 tiles of LCD glass. It runs on roughly 75 watts, less power than a laptop computer. Animations are created by independently varying the transparency of each piece of glass.

The content cycles through twenty programs, ranging from clouds to rain drops to colonies of bacteria to flocking birds to geese to cuttlefish skin to pulsating black holes. The animations were created through a combination of algorithmic software modeling of natural phenomena and compositing of actual footage.
