Disney’s New Star Wars Theme Park, Galaxy’s Edge, is a Dream Come True

Galaxy’s Edge

Tomorrow, on May 31st, the new Galaxy’s Edge Star Wars theme park will finally open at Disneyland, and for me, a theme park like this is truly a dream come true. Back in 2010, I visited Disneyworld, and even then, the limited Star Wars attractions there left me watery-eyed. My girlfriend and her three kids are going at Disneyworld mid-August this year, and while access to Galaxy’s Edge will be limited since it only opens on August 29, she will apparently still have the opportunity to see some part of it. I am SO jealous!

If, like me, you will likely not get to see the new theme park for several years, here are a few pictures and videos to get you dreaming. Thank you Disney. Thank you for allowing us to forget our worries and making our lives better.

This New Optical Illusion Will Baffle Your Brain!

The optical illusion you see below was created by professor Kohske Takahashi. The lines appear to be sharp zigzags, but in reality they’re curving sine waves. Their shading and contrast are what makes your brain think otherwise. Behold:

Salto the Pogoing Robot Could One Day Be the Ultimate Parkour Champion

Researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, first unveiled Salto’s high-flying capabilities in 2016. Now, they’ve equipped the robot with a slew of new skills, giving it the ability to bounce in place like a pogo stick and jump through obstacle courses like an agility dog. Salto can even take short jaunts around campus, powered by a radio controller.
