How We Feel About the New iPhone 7 [Comic + Video]

For those not aware of it yet, Apple has butchered the new iphone by removing one very important feature of the phone. This comic illustrates our feelings about this change perfectly:

Yes, Apple has removed the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack on the new iPhone and expect people to start using wireless headphones. Now, if you want to use your old headphones, you will have to use the provided lightning adapter to plug them in, blocking access to the lightning port while they’re in use. This is the adapter:

Now I don’t know about you, but I think this decision will keep customers away from the new models. I guess only time will tell.

Oh, and if you lose the adapter, which as far as I’m concerned has a very high chance of happening, you will have to pay $9.99 for a replacement.

Also, these people resume the situation quite well:

    • Person above me is probably just a riot at parties.

They dropped the port to try and force people to buy their wireless headsets (which are no doubt over priced and not that great). I was somewhat surprised this was their big ‘advancement’, but not really.

Guess it’s a good thing I don’t care about smart phones… I still use a flip phone, and could care less. :)

    • Not as much upset as you’ll be, when you lose one of the pair of tiny wireless headphones and need to dish another 160$ (instead of 6$ or something) for a new pair ;)

  1. This comic is pretty good, it shows that the 1/8 head jack is just about as old as a vagina. Get over it, it’s called change. This comic should have been more about how Tim Cook has not produced one ground breaking product since he has taken over. Now that would be funny and you can even have made a vagina joke.
