Sigh… WD-40 should NOT be used as a lubricant unless its an emergency. First off WD-40 tends to remove the proper lubricants. Secondly, WD-40 will dry out rather quickly, leaving a gummy substance behind. This makes people use more WD-40 and then there will be more buildup. Eventually, the buildup is so severe, no amount of WD-40 will fix the issue.
