the time taken to enjoy them almost always correlates to the length of the game, however, angry birds is possibly one of the longest games out-with the RPG section :P
This is a bit biased I'm thinking. I enjoyed FF13 right off the bat, and then proceeded to log about 73 hours total time leveling up and doing sidequests. Took me about 22 hours to casually complete Mass Effect 2 on my first playthrough, and it was enjoyable the whole time.
Of course, then you need another curve, showing how much the fun lasts…
Which would be a parabola.

Is it interesting to anyone else how it starts with 'plump' gamers and ends with 'plump' gamers?
I thought the last one was a soccer mom.
It is a soccer mom. This is asking for a rant but not going there.

If this chart is to scale, flight simulators are a mile up and a mile to the right.

Platformers/Puzzles need to be swapped with the Sports/FPS
I think this infographic is soo true. I've spent so much time on RPG's it's not even funny!
Slightly worried that that FPS gamer looks just like me… i need to stop gaming.
As expected the MMO falls on the asymptote where the curve turns into a vertical line trending towards infinity.
And way, way up above the top of the chart and a ways off to the right is Dwarf Fortress, sitting smugly upon a throne of cat skulls.
Top of the chart should be Civilization : ALL of your time.
Sins of a Solar Empire or some other Massive RTS or Turn based game…
Thanks a great poster(great artistic and visual aspects). Geeks have a leg up on everyone.
Well i have spent nearly 160 days on my game of choice and I'm not even nearly halfway…
