I may be a total noob for not knowing this (feel free to insult me in the comments, but please stay polite ;)), but did you guys know that in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, you can see hieroglyphs of R2-D2 and C-3PO cleverly hidden in the background of several scenes? Behold:

  1. Being an Easter Egg guy myself I'm always happy to hear of and old egg like this.  While I knew about this one I have been surprised to hear of an old one I have missed before.  These are pretty good pictures of them.

  3. I'd heard they were there, but I was never able to find them.  Thanks for pointing out the location.

  8. lots of great star wars references in the indiana jones series. what about "club obi wan" in temple of doom?

  9. well, it was on the special dvd of the 4 dvd box set of the original trilogy. so if you watched that and didn't catch it, you are a noob, yes. if you haven't, you're just not much of an indiana jones fan ;-)

  10. The sea-plane at the beginning of "Raiders" has the tail number "OB-CPO".

Also, in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," the mothership model includes a little R2-D2 model (among several other little tidbits).

In "Blade Runner," one of the cityscape models includes the Millennium Falcon (sitting vertically) as a building.

In the BSG reboot, one of the Caprica shots includes a Firefly flying over the city.
