  1. Robin Williams is enough of an Evangelion fan that he had one of his action figures in the background for "One Hour Photo", and allegedly volunteered to play Gendo Ikari in the live-action film based on that series. If he's that big of a nerd, it wouldn't surprise me in the least for him to also be a fan of LoZ, especially if he is willing to admit that he named his daughter after a video game character.

  2. Robin Williams, Bill Murray, and a whole cadre of comedians are amazing for a number of reasons.  They are wonderful geeks, involved in things like Warhammer40K, and enjoyed other aspects of gaming.  I love Mr. William's tenacity to apply his humor and skills to all aspects of the movie industry and hope one day he considers doing voice acting for rpgs.  I mean, we've already got Mark Hamil and John Cleese.  Hopefully it's just a matter of time. :D

  3. Just imagining everyone call you Zelda in the middle of a class feels weird, a name so popular yet so unpopular…
    It's cool, but still weird…

  4. I have a hard time reconciling the totality of my opinion of Robin Williams ("So two decades ago") with this sheer awesomeness, which (given her age) gives Robin hardcore geek cred that absolutely no one alive can top.

I mean, we all of us went trick-or-treating as Sonic or had a dog named Bubble Man or whatever. But he was an ADULT, and he NAMED HIS KID after Zelda, and he did it before video games were even cool for most kids, much less adults.

Oh yeah…and he was famous when he did it. Futzing hardcore.
