Phoenix Jones: Real-Life Superhero Vigilante [Video]

Believe it or not, Phoenix Jones is part of a real-life crime fighting superhero brigade named The Rain City Superheroes, and he kicks criminals’ asses at night. Check it out:

Apparently, he’s been doing this for the past 9 months, which incidentally coincide almost exactly with the release date of Kick-Ass. Simple Coincidence? I think not.

  1. I also coincidentally went active in early 2010. When Kick-Ass came out, it wasn't the inspiration for me to begin my RLSH (Real-Life Superhero) activities, but it was a validation, of sorts, that gamma radiation and Kryptonite were not prerequisites for donning a mask and leaping across buildings.

I think it belittles Phoenix Jones to say that he's doing this because he saw a movie and wanted to emulate it. Trust me, it takes months and months of psychological buildup and preparation to create a superhero character for yourself.

The more of us there are, the easier it becomes to join our ranks. When will YOU find your alter-ego?
