  1. Facebook isn't a therapist, don't treat it like one. Most of your "friends" on Facebook don't care if you had a shitty day. There is enough bad news in the news, keep it upbeat.

  2. Facebook isn’t a therapist, don’t treat it like one. Most of your “friends” on Facebook don’t care if you had a shitty day. There is enough bad news in the news, keep it upbeat.

  3. Don't air your dirty laundry, even if you don't name names. People will figure it out and you can piss off a LOT of people.

  4. All these rules are stupid except 5. everyone posts funny/embarrassing pictures of their friends while they are drunk or being stupid. If someone doesnt like what you post on their wall, they can delete it, and whats with stealing other peoples friends? what just because you are friends with someone means I cant be? thats not only ludicrous, its anti social.

  5. Additionally:

Rule $6:Stop pulling people into groups without their consent (compliments Rule #5 nicely)

Rule #7: Enough with the apps already. 99.9% of them aren't worth the time and this isn't MySpace (not to mention that most of them create security issues).

Rule #8: Enough with the "gifts". At best it's a nuisance, at worst it wastes my time sorting through my news feed (let's be honest, you can only block so many of them, but they sprout like weeds)

Rule #9: Enough with the pointless status updates…..no one cares what you just ate or when your bowel movements are

Rule #10: The wall is not an instant messenger. Enough said

Rule #11: Unless you are a business, don't make friends with people you don't know. Seriously, no one can keep track 40+ friends at once.

Rule #12: Enough with the pokes. No seriously, enough with the pokes.

Rule #13: Chain statuses. Cut it out. Most of them have no fact to them and the few that do cannot entice me to care. This goes double for "pictures" that are nothing but text saying something along the lines of, "Click like or Share if you are against child abuse (or whatever)"

I think there might be a few others someone can think of.
