WTF: Fluo Tube Fighting

This has to be the most stupid idea… EVER! Unsurprisingly, fluorescent lamp fighting comes directly from the land of the rising sun, which brings me to this question: why does the majority of things that make you go WTF always seem to be coming from Japan?

  1. Brian, I doubt it. If they had any sense, they would first care that they were bleeding from beating each other with fluorescent light bulbs. Mercury is too intangible for them to care about it.

  3. Pfft. My brother and I used to do this all the time in our grandmother's hardware store. We also used PVC pipe, which shatters just as spectacularly.

  4. Japan subscribes to the philosophy that all ideas are good ideas until they're proven to be bad ideas. they do not restrict creativity, so you get TONS of crap like this. However… since 90% of everything is CRAP, and "everything" is only made up of ideas that come to fruition, THIER 10% of GOOD ideas includes a whole lot more ideas. Interesting idea…
