  1. Rod says:

I’m surprised they didn’t use “Internet” for “I”.

  2. solo, cooper & clank says:

s is for stars – wars, trek, galactica – if its good and geeky it has a star in it somewhere!

  3. Sachi says:

I like this, it’s creative and fun.

  4. Mike C says:

The away team in A is the New York chapter of Start Trekkin!!! An awesome improv group that does everything with a Trek twist!

  5. Very cool, but Quilting – seriously was that the best Q you could think of??? Nice poem though ;)

  6. Jaen says:

Is it just me or is the “A” picture a recreation of the famous Kent State photo? I guess that makes them history geeks too…

  7. Holly says:

As a long time geek who has been quilting even longer, I was quite happy to see the Mario quilt shown. Working on a Ms Pac-man quilt myself. (I know, its been done, but I want one of my own. :)

Happens that I remember Kent State and recognized the photo too.. wow. One heck of a concept for that photo project.

  8. As a longtime quilter, let me assure you that it is a very geeky hobby.

  9. Hi there! Love the series.

I’d appreciate it if you’d add my credit/citation in for your “C is for Cosplay” pic, though. :-)

    Thanks!

  10. 8-bit Emma says:

This was so much fun to read. Thanks. Very enjoyable. :)

  11. LOOL @ T For Table Tops! DnD FTW! XD

  12. Squeaki says:

None of the Leia’s are wearing the top right. the straps should be crossed in the front AND back.

  13. RaulJones says:

    Uh, geeks…aren’t…”sexy”. Fact.

    • Nick says:

My friend, you don’t have the correct definition for geek. Geek != Dork.

      (!= is “does not equal”)

  14. Julie says:

The sad thing is, the tabletop pic of the D&D game looked so much like the group I’m about to go to in about 2 hours, I had to do a double take. Down to the little index cards and everything!!! That’s nuts!

  15. Susanne says:

Geeks can be sexy…just depends on the level of how high their geeky-ness is :P sometimes too high? meh. not as sexy (well, at least to ME)…but then again…to each one’s own!

  16. alice says:

Great list! The “Y” one was a little weak, though. How about “‘Y’ is for ‘yearning’. (Your princess is in another castle)”? or what about Yoda, Yoshi and “Yatta!”?

  17. alice says:

Ok, so the subtitle in that first suggestion wouldn’t rhyme. I just love the word “yearning”.

  18. GeekWife says:

Seriously, take it from a girl who is married to an uber-geek – it doesn’t get any sexier ladies. And note: I’ve not being even remotely sarcastic here – “geeks” make the best lovers!

  19. Gothi says:

Geeks ARE sexy and yes DO make the best lovers.. and usually have the bigger penis’ and long hair mrrrrrr and brains! and don’t mind me sitting up til silly o clock playing warcrack

  20. magallanes says:

Like someone said, I is for Internet.

    L is for LOL.

And B is for BAN. By law, a geek must piss off a moderator at least once a year.

    • vanetix says:

I think you’re getting the word geek confused to troll. Most geeks aren’t total tools…

  21. Russ B says:

WHOA! That’s my cat Punky in “M is for MMORPG”! Yay and thanks!

she’s in lots of my youtube videos :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfpydfbO9Yw

    shameless cat-promotion, I know.

  22. A is for argument because you can always find a geek willing to do it on the web

in b4 no, t is for troll because that’s what you are doing

  23. Thad says:

It’s been awhile since I took EE, but…aren’t those resistors in the “voltage” pic?

    • Pathman says:

Yes, they are resistors. From left to right: First and second are the value in Ohms, third is the multiplier and the fourth is tolerance in metal colour. A fifth indicates polarity, I think(unusual). I am a Swede so i had to translate what i learned 25 years ago and promptly forgot.;) Nicely done, this! Apple just finks it is everything… Or wants to own it. :(

  24. Carmen says:

Help the “non geek” get S! Why is the cake a lie?

    • Sam says:

“the cake is a lie” its a Portal reference if you’ve ever played the game Portal, its a really good game (getting a sequel soon i believe :D)

  25. Sam says:

    2 things
1.) i love this list lol
2.) cosplay, conventions, hardware, software, and even the cake is a lie .. why have i only just found this website its brilliant

  26. GLaDOS says:

THE CAKE IS NOT A LIE. COMPLETE THE TRIALS AND THERE WILL BE CAKE. THIS CAKE IS DELICIOUS. WE’RE HAVING A BIG PARTY FOR YOU, WITH CAKE, BUT YOUR BEST FRIEND THE WEIGHTED COMPANION CUBE HASN’T REPLIED TO THE INVITATION BECAUSE YOU MURDERED HIM.

  27. Jovana says:

    I love it! :D

  28. Oh. my. god. So much epic in so little space makes the internet explode. I’d give you a new one if we weren’t sure of the epic awesome.

You said we could use this as long as we track back to you, right???

I want this on a teeshirt. Nao. I might have to make it myself. I have teeshirt paint, a teeshirt and freetime until the convention. I might just do it!!! :D (with your info on the back!)

  29. Phil E. Drifter says:

I remember Zork for my Apple ][+. I never played it, but I remember having it. I remember T.W.E.R.P.S. and SunDog and Apple Panic and Miner 2049er and Karatika and Swashbuckler and Firebug…Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego…

  30. Sleepy John says:

Alpha is for “let’s start all over again and do it as Greek for Geeks”

  31. Awesome. I only wish the L was for Lego, not Leia. I also like the idea of Y being for Yoda, or Yoshi, youth does seem like a stretch.

  32. Melanie says:

This is adorable. I can relate on quite a few of these…

  33. Bettyjuicee says:

this is so ingenious :D I really like it :)
