Apple Releases 2 New “Get a Mac” Commercials
October 20, 2008 by Geeks are Sexy | 6 commentsApple just released another batch of their “Windows-Bashing” commercials. They’re somehow trying to pass the message that Microsoft spends much more money on advertising than they do on fixing real issues with Vista. I’d be curious to compare the advertising budget of both companies to see who’s spending the most. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple would come up on top.

These ads, while amusing and sometimes funny, are starting to remind me of the negative campaign ads currently airing in the U.S. presidential election. I’m becoming increasingly sensitive to being fed false or misleading information. I guess all advertisers are guilty of this, though. Apple is no exception.
Attacking a company’s ad budget with an ad? The irony is overwhelming.
I like my macs but this ad campaign is getting SO old.
I agree with both previous posters.
Come on Apple, follow your old mantra and Think Different!
I recall hearing that something like 60% of Microsoft’s budget is advertising.
Doubt it somehow, I’ve seen a lot more Mac ads than Microsoft ads. And I’ve never seen Micosoft slag off Apple in their Ads. In the UK the ads use two popular comedians from a series called Peep show, in which the person playing the PC has a Job and is reliable, and the person playing the Mac is a ‘musician’, has no real job, is unreliable, takes Drugs and sponges of the person who plays the pc. Quite ironic, although It does fit in with the stereotype of a mac user…….
This ad does wonders for my perception of apple. Very low behaviour IMHO.
