one

I have to say, Imgur user, you did a pretty awesome job making One Punch Man for Fallout 4. Only problem is, the game is gonna be super easy now because he can beat everything in one punch. Might be a slightly shorter gaming experience for you than most. Still totally worth it. Great job!

Video system designed to capture auto-challenge market

The people behind a new challenge/response test say their video-based system is both more legible to humans and trickier for computers to defeat. NuCaptcha is the latest incarnation of the Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart, a particularly convoluted way of producing an acronym that sounds like “capture”. The idea […]

Bayeux Tapestry Meme Goodness + History!

Mental Floss has a brilliant overview of one of my favorite memes: the Bayeux Tapestry meme. I first came across the Bayaux Tapestry in college, and then I had no idea it held such hilarious possibility when brought to the Internet masses. I remember seeing a humorous take on the Bayeux on Fark years ago, […]

Peering Into the Shifting Map of the Internet

We use the Internet every day. Some of us work by virtue of the Internet—even our business lives are conducted online. And for many, especially the geeks among us who jumped on the bandwagon early, using the Internet is simply a part of life, something we might take for granted, just another utility like water […]

What Do YOU Use To Check For Domain Names?

By Mark O’Neill One of the things I like to do is research and buy web domain names. I am NOT a cyber-squatter mind you but I like to think up creative URL’s, see if they are available, buy the domains for a year and see if I can make a project out of them […]

You’re an internet addict. Yes, you.

By Ilya Kochanov Contributing Writer, [GAS] According to some doctors with big weird eyebrows and some kind of doctorate, excessive internet usage might soon be classified as an actual mental disease. Never mind the fact that people, such as myself, earn money by going online. Or that corporations, banks, and schools rely heavily on the […]

Internet circa 1996

By Ilya Kochanov Contributor, [GAS] As early as 10 years ago the web was a terribly unproductive place to be. Animated GIFs were all the rage and HTML ruled supreme. Forget about funny cat videos or managing your calendar online. Blogging? Shopping? Material of questionable origins? No, no, and unfortunately not. Web 2.0 is a […]
