Magnetic Magneto Helmet [Pics]

Not only are Alexandra and Evgenia actual twins, but they’re cosplayers as well, and they made this awesome magnetic Magneto helmet. The helmet is made from foam coated with glass fiber and putty and has a few neodymium magnets embedded in it. Wearing this for an extended period of time might not be a great idea though, I’m not sure what kind of effect a powerful magnet can have on your brain with prolonged exposure.

  1. “I’m not sure what kind of effect a powerful magnet can have on your brain with prolonged exposure.” Actually this brings up a very interesting subject, especially concerning the Magneto character.

I know that magnetic fields can have a significant effect on the brain, for example as used in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcranial_magnetic_stimulation). However, those are rapidly alternating magnetic fields.

If Magneto could create an alternating magnetic field with his power, he would be able to affect people’s minds in profound ways.
