He should have found one of Max's friends with a publicly available number, and texted them saying "Hey it's Max on my dad's phone. Call my mobile when you get this – Mr Taco is looking for you".
Then while he was still freaking out, Max would have got a call from one of his friends sounding worried saying "So who's this Mr Taco guy?"
agreed that'd be hilarious, but then he'd be committing a felony. just texting max back = no felony, just good times
how is using publicly available numbers a felony? Umm, better not call me, it's a felony…
