Meh! Why is this so funny… is it because he is some sort of alchemist, but he is not aware of it?… is his acting? I get that stoners might find it funny tough…
It was a Superbowl commercial candidate – and while hilarious, not to the level that Superbowl commercials have risen, that's why it was rejected.
I wouldn't be surprised to see it air at some other point though – since in the submission agreement, there is certainly a line that basically states "You're giving this to us, we can do whatever we want with it"
My recent experience is that Super Bowl commercials are predictable and not nearly as funny as they were 7-8 years ago. Edit in Betty White fighting a tiger in the background, or something equally random, and it's got Super Bowl Magic all over it.
This makes me want to go grab some combustible lemons and pay the good folks at Doritos a visit.
