Have you heard? The new editions of Star Wars on Blu-ray, which are being released on Sept. 16, feature a few little changes that are supposed to make the movies better. Fortunately, there’s not supposed to be anything major such as the “Han shot first” fiasco that was introduced in the 1997 re-release of “A New Hope”. Here are a few of those changes for your viewing pleasure:
Obi-Wan’s new dragon impression:
Jabba’s Palace’s new door:
Tie fighters added to the final Return of the Jedi battle scene. (At the end of the video)
Wicket with eyelids
Here are the links to pre-order the new editions on Amazon.com:

I know I'm gonna get thumbs down for this but…
I don't find it the added dialog all that bad. *scurries back under her rock*
That's the one. XD
Nothing like wrecking one of the most climactic scenes of the whole series. Who could watch that and *not* think of the other Noooooo.
Sadly, Lucas is just showing how much of a fluke it all was. Either that or he has a brain disease.
greedy lil c*nts
So you're telling me the redundant, awful CGI Jabba appearance in New Hope is still in? "Jabba you're a wonderful human being!"
Let's see, clip by clip….
New Ben dragon call: Crap. It literally sounds (to me)like they just pulled some audio from that scene in the Family Guy version.
Jabba's Door: Meh. Looks a bit fake, but whatever, it's a door.
Death Star scene: Couldn't really see that much different…
Ewok with Eyelids: Seriously? This one doesn't even deserve my attention.
They could have spent more than five minutes on those TIE fighters. Even in youtube-quality, they clearly pop into existence half a second after the cut. Freaky.
They were, uh, jumping out of light speed…
or something.
good
look forward to check the changes out
I wonder why Lucas refuses to release unedited by high quality DVD/blurays of the original trilogy? Lots of fans would buy them. Or is that the problem, that lots of fans would buy them? >_>
Ok….as to the krayt dragon call….. WTF? It sounded good in the original and anyone who knows what a krayt dragon is (SWG players, especially) would have fun like mad at that sound. The new one? Ugh! Makes me so mad.
I did a t-shirt design when the DVDs were released, but with the blurays it's even more valid: "George Lucas raped my Childhood" (you can find it on redbubble.com btw ^^)
why can't he just leave the movies the way they were and just fix some effects and colors?!
new eyes for the ewoks: ok
new door for jabba: ok
new krayt-scream: whay again?! was the 2004 one not bad enough?!
Vader screams "nooo": no! no! no! this destroys the scene…
let's look forward to the 3D-Editions and even more changes – the versions GL ever wanted. again.
Next up he'll be doing digital recasting…
Obi Wan will be played by Gilbert Gottfried
Han Solo will be played by Carrot Top
Princess Leia will be played by Courtney Love
Luke Skywalker will be played by Shia Labeuf
Darth Vader will be voiced by Yeardley Smith
The Emperor will be played by Dr. Phil
Lando Calrissian will be played by Erkel
Chewbakka will be played by John Goodman
Jabba the Hutt will be played by Steven Segal
Bobba Fett will be played by Don Knotts
All the robots will be done in CG and voiced by Seth McFarlane…
(I cannot be held responsible for any aneurisms caused by trying to imagine the charactorial substitutions I have written. Visualize them at your own risk ; )
For heaven's sake SOMEBODY purchase the rights to this franchise from him before he destroys it.
GL needs to die, so he can stop raping my childhood
You can't please everyone. Bottom line: Buy it, be happy. Don't buy it, stay miserable and wait for more than an eternity for the originals to come out. http://starwarsbluray.it
