so true
When I started doing technical support I rejected the notion that clearing the cache in your browser and rebooting fixes 90% of user problems. After 10+ years of technical support, the only thing I know is…it does.
I saw a tech support company card that said "Before you call, turn it off, then on again." I bet it put them out of a job!
I'd get help from an IT consultant. There are times that when I turn off the PC, the same problem comes up. Well, it's a good thing that my PC here in Manhattan is pretty much healthy. The PC at my sister's place is the one having the issues. I told her to talk to someone who knows his or her stuff about computers and not just rely on Google for solutions.
