Katie Couric Explains the 1-2-3 of romantic texting

December 2, 2008 by Kiltak |

Personally, I’m not from the “texting” generation, so this doesn’t really apply to me, but what about you, younger [GAS] readers? Have you ever used texting to declare your love to someone, or in the opposite extreme, dump someone to avoid a potentially disastrous situation? The comments section is open for your stories.

Katie lost my respect with her obvious bias during the election.

Any guy who breaks up with a girl with a text message, through a chat, e-mail, social site… you name it, is a P***y, and quite frankly the girl does not deserve a looser like that. If you do not have the manhood to tell a girl face to face what you feel, you need to grow up.

This is just my opinion.

thanks

p.s. I think sending a little text message to tell your girl you love her some time in the day is super.

I think I may be on the upper end of this texting phenomenon, but I know personally how nice it is to get a kind word randomly during a stressful day.
I have also sent some of my best thoughts (some would say ‘lines’) to my girlfriend in texting, and I can tell from her reaction that it’s a very good idea.
As far as the breaking up goes, that’s not something I could see happening. I’ve broken up over the phone, but at least then you can hear voice tones and expressions. Breaking up through texting still seems… harsh.

I just recently got into texting. I’m a male, still young, and now I really do text more than I call. I only do that because it’s cheaper than calling people before 7. My girlfriends signature on her phone always says how she loves me or misses me while I’m away. I’ll say goodnight to her and tell her I love her by text instead of calling (I find it easier than calling her and waking her up to do it) I guess texting is now apart of relationships.

It’s good for general hi how are you but really can anything of value come from it. Face-to-face beats out all! Phone isn’t even impressive to me.
