Must watch: 18 minutes with an agile mind

April 9, 2008 by admin | 6 comments

When American Astronomer Clifford Stoll speaks, you can’t really help yourself but listen. He may look and sound like a total nutcase, but take the time to listen to what he has to say, you’ll be glad you did. For the next 18 minutes, you’ll be listening to Mr. Clifford as he talks about things such as the atmosphere of Jupiter, computers in classrooms, KGB hackers, and many, many other things. Asking a men such as him to stay focused on a single subject would be pure folly, because as he says: “Once I do something, I want to do something else.” Enjoy the presentation!

I just saw this TED talk yesterday and it’s just brilliant. I wish all my lecturers were like this; you can’t help but get inspired and motivated by the guy :)

This guy is really cool. I wish that I could have a few lectures done by him.

I had the pleasure of eating lunch with him (and a group of people) and taking him the ham radio club shack afterwards while I was in school. He _does_ look and sound nutty, but he is great!

I watched this a week or so ago and I thought it was amazing. The man is entertaining and while you think he’s not making much sense you can’t help but get inspired(like Melinda said) and fired up by the guy. It was one of many great videos I enjoyed at TED.
