Artist Restores USAF GEMINI X-5 Space Ship Toy from the 1960s

Watch as artist and Youtuber “Old Things Never Die” restores a vintage USAF GEMINI X-5 space ship toy from the 1960s, which he bought on eBay for $30. The toy was originally made in Japan by Masudaya Toys Co., which according to wikipedia, still exists today! This is a company that was founded in 1924 in Tokyo, Japan, and became known for its wonderful post World War II era toys!

From “Old Things Never Die”:

The seller told me that he didn’t know if it worked but by disassembling it, I had the bad surprise to discover it had already been modified before. The engine was missing and the bulbs no longer worked. It took me a month to restore but it was worth it, watch till the end to see this beautiful old toy in action.
