Demodex: The Creatures with Buttholes That Live on Your Face

You might wonder why we would care if a demodex has a butthole or not. Well, hold onto your magnifying glasses, folks, because these little critters are setting up camp right on our lovely faces! These tiny mites set up camp in the most unexpected of places: the hair follicles of various animals. The two species that thrive on humans are the Demodex folliculorum, which often lives in your eyelashes, and the Demodex brevis, who really enjoys the oil glands in your hair follicles.
