If You Are Getting HTTP ERROR 431 (REQUEST HEADER FIELDS TOO LARGE)

Hi geeks!

I’ve been getting HTTP Error 431 (request header fields too large) on geeks are sexy about twice a month for a few weeks now. I first thought it was a local problem since clearing my cache fixed the issue. After googling the problem, it seemed to only affect Chrome browsers, and the only solution I discovered was “clear your cache.”

Now, a few other users have reported getting HTTP Error 431 as well, pointing to a possible problem with the site. I made a few config changes with the support team over at Dreamhost, but since the error only pops up occasionally, It’ll take a while to say “It’s now fixed.”

So in the meantime, if you get HTTP Error 431, clear your cache for the site.

Just go to chrome://settings/siteData?searchSubpage=geeksaresexy (select, copy, and paste in the url bar) and click “remove all shown.”
