Opening a new Google docs document, sheet, or slide can take a little time, and if you’re in a hurry, it’s time you’d rather spend working on your project right away. Here’s a quick time that will get you started in mere seconds!
If you’re already signed in to your Google account, all you need to do to open a new document is to type doc.new in the address bar, and boom, you have a new document sitting in front of you. For Google Slides, do the same thing but type slide.new, and for Sheets, type sheet.new. Both the plural and singular forms of the words will also work.
Other commands that work: site.new, sites.new, website.new, slide.new, slides.new, deck.new, presentation.new, form.new, and forms.new.
If you want to make the process even quicker, just bookmark the addresses and add them to you Browser’s bookmark bar.
