The Queen of Shitty Robots, Simone Giertz, Talks About Her Brain Surgery

If you’ve been following Geeks are Sexy for a while, you know about Simone Giertz, the delightfully witty young lady who creates crappy robots that attempt to automate tasks such as brushing your teeth or eating cereals. A few months ago, Simon was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and she recently had it removed. Now that she’s on the mend, she shares her story with us.

I had a brain tumor. Then I had some brain surgery. Then I made a video about it. I’ve missed you.

Thank you for being here, and for all of your nice messages, terrible jokes and care packages. It’s been an onslaught of love unlike anything I could ever have imagined. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone, but all of you made it feel like a bizarre blessing.
