Well, well. Not long after Microsoft announces the Xbox One S, Sony is unleashing some competition on them again with the announcement of the PS4 PRO 4K, which is essentially an upgraded version of their already stellar PS4 console. This also acts as a sort of unofficial announcement of a price drop for the regular PS4, which will be priced at $299. Announce the newer, fresher model, the older models drop down in value. It’s just how business works.
Works out if you don’t have a PS4 yet, or if you just want a faster, better, larger on the inside version than the one you already have now. I do have one question, though. It’s not quite a PS5 and it is better than a PS4, so why not just call it what it is?
The PS4 Pro will start getting shipped on November 10th, 2016, but for those interested, the console is currently available for pre-order.
