Suicide Squad Fans Mad at Rotten Tomatoes, Trying To Shut Down Site

Here’s the thing about movies (all movies, including Suicide Squad). Sometimes us diehard fans lose sight of the fact that people are allowed to have different choices and opinions about movies. For the most part, it is a medium of art that often has varied opinions, with “right or wrong” not being a part of that.

But (and there is always a but)…..

Seems Suicide Squad fans are somewhat upset with the Rotten Tomatoes score the movie got and are now sending around a petition to have the site shut down. Via The Independent:

In an attempt to upset the system, one disappointed fan, Abdullah Coldwater, has decided to start a petition to shut down aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes (where the films currently holding a 35% approval rating) because “Critics always give The DC Extended Universe movies unjust Bad Reviews… and that Affects people’s opinion” (sic).

But please remember people, this is a society built on free will and choice. Someone can like or dislike something of their own merit, and that is okay. It doesn’t mean you cannot like it. And shutting down that site will do nothing but make us all seem entitled.

In other words, you like Suicide Squad, don’t let other people’s opinions about it bother you. It is art, interpret it how you like.
