Location-based site Homesnacks has put together this map of, well, it’s not quite clear…
The site captioned the pic “What Show Each State Streams The Most” and the description specifically references Netflix viewing. However, it also reveals the underlying data comes from Google Trends, so this seems to be based on search activity rather than specific viewing. It’s also notable that no show is repeated (which seems unlikely), so it seems more likely to be a measure of shows that are disproportionately searched in a state for rather than a raw ranking.
Either way, there’s an intriguing mix of the readily explainable (Portlandia in Oregon) and the not so clear connections.
