Early 80s Computer TV Shows Online

bbccomputerseason

As part of its “Make It Digital” season, the BBC has put six archive shows about computing on its iPlayer service. The collection includes the debut episode of The Computer Programme for 1982, an episode of Making The Most Of The Micro from 1983 which introduced BASIC programming for family users, two editions of magazine show Micro Live from 1986 to 1987, plus a 1977 documentary on the microprocessor and a compilation of 196os clips from tech show Tomorrow’s World. Expect some dodgy haircuts, eyewatering prices (with inflation) and plenty of low-fi creativity.

The shows are only available on device which report their location as being in the UK. If that doesn’t apply to your device, you can find some of the shows on YouTube, albeit in lower quality.
