A Very Rare Look Into Chris Farley as Shrek

Though most people don’t know it, SNL Alum Chris Farley was actually just about getting around to doing the voice work for the ogre in Shrek around the time of his death. Crazy side note, John Belushi was supposed to do it before Farley, leading many to believe that the film was cursed. Everyone who had signed on to play the lead seemed to die. John Candy as well. No joke.

But now, years later, safe to say that wasn’t the case. Just a case of some actors who lived too fast. But still makes us really wonder what Chris Farley would have been like as the lovable beast. This test footage is about as close as we will ever come to finding out.
