Steam was always weird about refunds and with good reason. Someone could claim they hated a game or had a problem with it, but how could Steam know if it was the game and not just some kid who beat it quick and wants their money back? Now they have a way to tell, and with it, comes refunds!
From Kotaku:
Steam is finally getting a proper refund system. Starting today, users of Valve’s PC platform will be able to get a full refund on any game for any reason, provided it’s been less than 14 days since purchase and they’ve spent less than two hours playing.
It is actually a very smart method to ensure customer loyalty whilst also ensuring you are not getting ripped off by slimy gamers who just want to beat a game and return it. Well played, team. I knew I loved you and was giving you all my income for a reason.
