Michelle MacLaren, who has directed episodes for Breaking Bad and even Game of Thrones, left DC’s Wonder Woman feature on Monday, citing “creative differences,” a reason that could mean almost anything.
Now, just three days later, director Patty Jenkins has signed on to take over.
Jenkins was initially attached to Thor: The Dark World, but that ultimately fell through (not without controversy, as well). Jenkins first gained fame in 2003 when she wrote and directed the award-winning Monster, starring Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci. Jenkins has also worked on Entourage and Arrested Development.
Gal Gadot is still attached to star and a 2017 release remains intact.
