Vin Diesel Issues Challenge: ‘Plant a Tree for Groot!’ [VIDEO]

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is EVERYWHERE right now, and Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, challenged Groot himself — Vin Diesel — to partake.

Diesel agreed, but not without issuing this challenge of his own to Gunn: “Yes, I accept…but I raise you: Plant a tree for Groot!”

While it has not gotten nearly as popular as the ALS challenge, many Twitter users have accepted Diesel’s challenge, including Gunn, who responded with: “Challenge accepted Vin Diesel – I will plant a tree for Groot!”

…maybe now a bucket of water can be dumped on young, growing trees instead??
