The Vancouver, Canada-based Nerd Corps Entertainment will produce a computer-animated TV series based on the bestselling George Greenby children’s series by Stephen Hawking and his daughter, Lucy.
According to Variety:
The Vancouver-based animation studio is planning to produce 26 half-hour episodes of the educational comedy-adventure TV series for the world market. The series examines science and physics through the adventures of 11-year-old George Greenby and his friend Annie Bellis as they explore the universe and its marvels, traveling through space and time. Joining them is Cosmos, a supercomputer with an attitude to boot.
Nerd Corps Entertainment hopes to make the series multi-platform — not just on TV — for kids and their parents to enjoy.
