Last Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Captain America 3 will face off against the hugely-anticipated Batman vs. Superman on May 6, 2016.
Originally, the May 6 date was an “Untitled Marvel Film,” but now, Marvel has revealed that it will be another adventure of The Cap. With Batman vs. Superman originally slated for a summer 2015 release, Marvel/Disney had staked out the May 6, 2016 slot first.
Of course, with May 2016 still two years away, anything can still happen, production- or other-wise. A July 8, 2016 also has an untitled Marvel/Disney release scheduled, so who knows if they’ll push Captain America 3 back, if Batman vs. Superman sticks to May 6, 2016.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters on Friday, April 4, 2014.
