Filmmaker Removes “Pivotal” Characters from Iconic Films [Video]

Richard Trammell does it all — he’s an editor, filmmaker, and creator of visual effects.

In his spare time he takes iconic scenes from movies and simply removes one of the pivotal characters. He generally goes with psychological thriller/horror movies, as those work best to achieve his goals.

Below, check out his versions of Fight Club and The Shining, which are especially effective, because (SPOILER ALERT) neither character actually exists anyway, so Trammell has technically created what the scenes would have looked like IRL:

He also has redone the trailer for the Joaquin Phoenix film “Her” by replacing Scarlett Johansson’s voice with Philip Seymour Hoffman’s!
