Rarely-Seen Video Clip Captures 1939 New York City in Color!

Romano-Archives recently posted on the web color footage of New York City that is 74 years old!

The originally-silent footage was shot by French tourist Jean Vivier in the summer of 1939 on Kodachrome. The score was only recently added.

In just 2:50, Vivier captures downtown and midtown Manhattan, Rockefeller Plaza, Harlem, Washington Square/East Side, and Chinatown!
