Featured Short Film: Gumdrop the Robot [Video]

Geeks are Sexy reader Matt G. just sent me this really cool short I thought you guys would enjoy:

The movie follows a robot doing a screen test, but what’s really cool about it is that the filmmakers digitally inserted the robot into clips from old movies, so there are scenes of her dancing with Fred Astaire and Charlie Chaplin. It was directed by Kerry Conran, who did “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow” and has visual effects done by people who worked on “Avatar” and “The Avengers.”
