Filmmaker and journalist Michel Parbot was once granted complete access to the set of ‘The Empire Strikes Back,’ but his work from that visit had never been seen.

I know what you’re thinking: “But Parbot worked on a documentary called SPFX: The Empire Strikes Back that was released!”

The videos below are not from that documentary at all. They are only a portion of What Was, a glimpse of What Could Have Been, as it is unknown why this documentary footage was never released. Some of the footage doesn’t begin in English, but keep watching and be patient.
