The next installment of Irrational Games’ popular BioShock series will hit shelves on October 16, 2012.
“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine. “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”
BioShock Infinite takes place in a city suspended in the sky, called Columbia. Your main protagonist is Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton sent to rescue a young woman imprisoned in Columbia. In this first person shooter, you will get to engage enemies in high-speed Sky-Line battles, fight amongst the clouds, and try to escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky.
BioShock Infinite will be available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, with a release date of October 16, 2012 in North America and October 19 for the rest of the world.
